Event Privacy

The privacy settings of an event can be set in the Create Event form. These settings are located at the bottom of the page when creating an event (Fig. 1)

 

"People can search for this event":

If this is unchecked, you will have to invite guests yourself because users who are searching events will not be able to see it.


"People must be invited to RSVP to this event":

If this box is checked, people can view the event (if you make it searchable) but will not be able to Attend unless invited.


"Invited guests may invite other people as well":

If this is unchecked, people that you invite will not be able to extend an invitation to anyone else. 


Privacy:

This will determine who can view the event. Only members who you allow to view the event will be able to see the event listing in their search results. 


Comment Privacy:

This will determine who can comment within your event posting.


Photo Uploads:

This will determine who can upload photos to your event posting.
